Quell
An experimental frame-flash analysis project by komm64.
Quell is being developed to help developers inspect rapid luminance and red-channel changes in games and interactive media. The current work focuses on a native Godot integration and a small developer overlay for checking internal Raw Risk and After Risk scores.
Current Status
Quell is in developer alpha. It is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, prevention tool, treatment tool, certification service, standards conformance checker, or guarantee that content is safe for photosensitive viewers. Raw Risk and After Risk are internal Quell signals, not clinical risk estimates.
What Is Being Tested
- Runtime detection of rapid luminance and red-channel changes in rendered frames.
- Output-limiting experiments for high-intensity flashing frames.
- Native engine integration, starting with Godot.
- Recorded validation comparing Quell's internal measurements before and after processing.
